About SandurTech

Understand the business problem first. Then build the right solution.

SandurTech connects the fragmented parts of a manufacturing business — its priorities, systems, data, and decisions — into one coherent operating system. It works with manufacturers, largely in steel, metals, and other process industries, across business operations, decision systems, digital transformation, and applied AI.

Why this exists

Most manufacturing improvement programs fail for a boring reason: nobody agreed on who owns the decision the new data or system was supposed to inform.

SandurTech exists to fix that specific failure, not to sell another dashboard, platform, or generic transformation framework. It diagnoses the actual problem first, whether it is a data problem or a decision problem, a legacy system or a legacy habit, and builds only what that diagnosis calls for. Nothing gets commissioned before the real problem is named.

The lens

The “Steel + IT” lens

SandurTech operates from what it calls the “Steel + IT” lens: knowing how a number actually gets generated on a plant floor under deadline, and knowing how enterprise systems, data architecture, and AI tools process and surface that same information at scale.

Either half alone gives a partial view. An IT-only lens sees clean data flowing through well-designed systems and has no particular reason to doubt what it is shown. A plant-only lens knows exactly where the gaps are but may lack the systems vocabulary to get a technology team to fix them. SandurTech's advisory work sits deliberately at the overlap, catching what neither lens reliably catches alone.

The operating model

Two worlds, one decision

The plant floor and enterprise systems overlap at “Steel + IT” — and everything that overlap produces still has to answer to the same four load-bearing questions.

Every engagement is built around this overlap, and the same chain of four questions.

Nine disciplines, one practice

What SandurTech does

1

Business Operations Advisory

“Your plant doesn't have a data problem. It has a decision problem.”

Independent, plant-grounded advisory that names the real constraint behind a stalled roadmap or an unexplained loss, before recommending a system, dashboard, or study.

2

AI Readiness & Applied Intelligence

“Your plant is not AI-ready, and that's not an insult, it's a starting point.”

A practical path from AI curiosity to a scoped, provable first win: honest readiness scoring, boring first pilots, and recommendations that earn trust instead of demanding it.

3

Digital Transformation Blueprinting

“Your blueprint isn't an IT document. It's a management tool.”

A sequenced, dependency-mapped blueprint built to stay in the room when investment decisions are made, and to survive the first budget cycle, not just the first presentation.

4

MES/APS & Legacy Modernization

“Rip and replace is usually the wrong first instinct.”

Every legacy MES, APS, or planning system runs through the same five-path decision tree, and the knowledge held by the people who run it gets captured before they move on.

5

Management Information & Decision Systems

“A dashboard is not a decision system.”

Reporting redesigned around the decisions it's meant to serve: every KPI with a named owner, every threshold with a defined action, every escalation path tested before it's needed.

6

Data Integration Engineering

“The connection between two systems is the easy part.”

Integration engineered around the decisions the data needs to support, with master data, lineage, and named ownership built in from the start, not reconciled after the fact.

7

Focused Software & Industrial Tools

“Software that solves one problem well beats a platform that solves none.”

Small, purpose-built tools where a large platform doesn't fit, configured before customized, staged through tested go/no-go gates before a single hour of real build begins.

8

Transformation Assurance

“Most transformation programs don't fail at launch. They fail quietly, three status reports later.”

Independent assurance that tells leadership what's actually confirmed, what's assumed, and what's still genuinely unknown, while there's still time to act on it cheaply.

9

Training & Capability Building

“Training only builds capability if it changes what someone does differently on Monday.”

Workshops, executive briefings, and knowledge-transfer calibrated to the room and tied to a capability gap that's actually been named, across management, operations, technology, AI, data, analytics, software, and programme leadership.

The Steel + IT approach

How the work gets done

01

Owner

Before any data or system conversation, name the specific decision at stake and the one role accountable for making it.

02

Evidence

An owner needs a specific, agreed set of inputs they can trust, not everything that happens to be measured somewhere.

03

Authority

The owner can act on the evidence directly, without collecting further sign-offs that quietly return the call to committee.

04

Consequence

Every real decision has a visible outcome, which is also how everyone eventually learns whether it was the right one.

A small team in a meeting room, one person writing a single decision on a whiteboard while the others watch.

A number without an owner is usually where the real problem starts.
